About Us
Kids come first at the Pigtails & Crewcuts – haircuts for kids in Asheville! Grab a fun vehicle-themed styling chair, watch a movie, and settle in for a haircut as our kid-friendly stylists work their magic. The concept behind this kid's salon is simple, getting a haircut should be fun and memorable! Our goal is to make the salon experience enjoyable for the entire family, customers big and small, both parents and kids. We offer ear piercing, first haircut packages, hair bows, and hair-care products.
Kids love looking at our whimsical paintings, playing with the wooden train table, and, when the haircut is done, paying a visit to our packed-with-adventure treasure chest. Who doesn’t want to get a treasure? Parents love relaxing in an environment where every child—smiling or crying—is welcomed with open arms. With an array of unique, child-safe hair products and a retail section packed with cute hair accessories, gifts, and more, Pigtails & Crewcuts is here for the whole family’s hair and beauty needs.

Celebrate this very special milestone moment with our First Haircut Package! Designed to make your child's very first haircut a joyful and memorable experience, this service includes and expert haircut by one of our kid-friendly stylists, a keepsake certificate, and a souvenir lock of hair to cherish forever. We create a welcoming environment to help little ones (and grown ups!) feel at ease.
Fairy Hair

Add a touch of sparkle to your child's day with our magical Fairy Hair service! At Pigtails & Crewcuts, we apply shimmering strands of fairy hair that are added gently to your child's natural hair -- no glue or heat required. It's a fun, safe way to let your little one shine for special occasions or just because! Choose from a variety of colors and enjoy a bit of glitter and glam. Includes 6-8 strands.
Bang Trim

Just need a quick touch up? Our Bang Trim service is perfect for keeping your child's bangs neat and out of their eyes between haircuts (front bangs only). Fast, easy, and done by our friendly, kid-focused stylists.
Haircut + Fairy Hair

A customized haircut for your child's hair PLUS 6-8 strands of fairy hair for added sparkle.
Detangling

Tangles and knots? We've got it covered! Our Detangling Hair Service is designed to patiently work through tough tangles using kid-friendly products and techniques. We make this process as calm and comfortable as possible in a fun, kid-friendly setting, helping to make hair care easier for both kids and their grown-ups. Please call prior to booking for a consultation. Price is per 10 minute increments.
Kids Cut

A great haircut in a colorful, FUN, kid-focused environment with vehicle theme chairs and children's shows. We use shears, clippers, or a combination of both to ensure you get the style you desire. Wiggles, giggles, smiling or crying are all welcome! Also includes a yummy treat and a treasure box prize. Does not include detangling or shampoo. If you would like to add additional services to the haircut, such as styling or fairy hair, please book separately or give us a call!
Ear Piercing - 14K Gold

Looking for a safe, fun place to get your child's ears pierced? We offer professional, kid-friendly ear piercings in a clean, comforting environment for anyone ages 6 months and up. Both ears pierced at the same time (when available. Please call prior to book to ensure two piercers are scheduled that day) Our trained staff uses sterile, hypoallergenic earrings and follows strict safety protocols to ensure a smooth, gentle experience. Includes earrings, after-care solution, & piercing certificate!
Kids Cut + Shampoo

Make haircut time extra special with our Kids Haircut + Shampoo service! We start with a gentle, kid-friendly shampoo to clean and refresh your child's hair, followed by a stylish cut from our kid-focused stylists. We will also provide a rough dry (no hot styling tools or round brushes used). A sweet treat and a treasure box toy are included.
